I am shopping for a specific fragrance (Annick Goutal Petite Cherie), and I noticed that a few sites sold it for half of what it normally goes for. why is it so much less... is it an older bottle, maybe past its expiration? I don't want to buy it if its not as fresh, or there's anything wrong with it.
It usually goes for about $80-90, and 2 places- Cosmas and Fragrance Shop sell it for $45 (about half off). At first I thought it was just on clearance or something, but these sites do that with almost all their fragrances. How could they afford to? Do you think its old perfume that they got from other retailers when those retailers couldn't sell it? Therefore less fresh and smelling off a bit? Thanks for the advice! :)

To clarify, its not on sale per se, these 2 websites seem to sell ALL their fragrances for about half off. (I don't know how they could do that if there's nothing wrong with the perfume.....???)
"there she goes"- that is a possibility for certain. But were that the only explanation, other sites would sell it for somewhere in that same price range I believe. Most sites are competitive with each other and trying to lure the customer with the lowest price they can afford to sell it for. But they need to sell things for a certain price to cover overhead & make a profit. Most places online sell this for $80-90. So I'm suspicious of how the 2 sites I've provided links for are pricing things so low!
well the general idea that i figured out in this type os low prices product is that the sellers have the access to the products outlets through some internal person in the factory from where they pick the lot in a whole sale manner which might cost them cheap and that they further sell at low prices...
No thats really probably all the perfume is worth. Other places just mark up the price for profit. It probably didnt take that much to make it.
A good things to do is go on ebay and look for your fav perfume but look for a tester bottle. Its a bottle that wont come in the original box cuz it was set out in a store for testing. It’ll still have 99% of the perfume in it but it’ll only be a couple of bucks.
I would say if you know what the perfume smells like always buy it online. Its always cheaper.
